Let's talk about boobs, baby!

It’s often the most overlooked area of your wedding dress planning.  What are you going to do with them? How much of them do you want to show?  Will the dress you bought support and control them?

At your first fitting, we’ll assess the situation and figure out what best works for your dress and your body.  For most people in the size a-d range, we have sew-in cups that are the perfect option.  They are a comfy and affordable solution for small to average-sized breasts.

If you’re a DD and up and not wearing a corset-style gown, you may need some extra help to get the lift and look you want in your dress.  With dresses trending towards the more see-through and low back, we’ve come up with lots of tricks to help you defy gravity and rock the look of your dream dress flawlessly.

New stick on bras are constantly coming out to catch up with the trend towards sheer and low back dresses.  Here are our tips for buying:

· As a rule, order up a cup size to get extra coverage.  Stay away from brands that are one size fits all.  Cups that don’t cover the entire breast will usually show through the gown and draw attention to a weird line.

· We’re providing Amazon links, but most can be found everywhere from Nordstrom to Target in dozens of different brands.  It’s the style and size that matter, not where you get it.

·Don’t be afraid to buy a couple of variations to bring to your fitting.  Sometimes we just have to try them and see what works best.  Luckily, these are pretty inexpensive and worth experimenting with to get the best results.

·Don’t panic if the bra alone doesn’t provide enough lift.  We use most of these in combination with alterations to get the finished look.

Here are our favorite options and examples of the styles that may require extra help.

1. Classic Stick On Cup

They provide zero lift and usually a sew in cup will do the job a lot more comfortably.  This is my least recommended style, but sometimes for a small chest in an unlined or slip style gown, it’s the perfect solution.  If a dress doesn’t fit snugly around the chest, sew in cups can look like weird floating orbs that don’t stay with your body.  A stick on cup can give a natural look and just the right amount of coverage.

2. Underwire Stick On Bra

This is my most recommended and all time favorite sticky bra.  It gives heavy, natural breasts the assist they need to rock a low cut front and a partially cut out back.  It’s got an underwire with a super low cut front and extra boning on the sides.  The clear side panels pull back and give extra lift while holding things in place.  This bra in combination with alterations like adding extra boning and nipping the waist in to lift the chest has been a totally miracle worker.

3. Lift Cups

This option is a basic cup, but with an extended top tab that lets you pull the girls up to the desired level and sticks onto your upper chest.  This option is a great assist for medium to heavy breasts in styles where the side tabs on the underwire option would show.

4. Boob Tape

Sometimes there’s just no better solution than tape to perfectly work with whatever unique neckline challenges your dress has.  There are lots of you tube tutorials to help you engineer the perfect configuration for your situation.  It comes in different widths and colors. Just try to match your skin tone as close as possible.  Our most important advice for tape is to experiment at home and don’t forget the nipple covers, because ouch.
