When do I need to schedule my first fitting?

We like to start bridal alterations 3 months before your big day. We are happy to schedule you at any time, but please keep in mind that evening times book 4-6 months out. If you have a wedding date within the next year, it’s not too early to get on our schedule!

Moms, proms, and bridesmaids should start at least 4-6 weeks before the event.

How long will the fitting take?

First bridal fittings take 45 minutes, subsequent fittings take 30. Moms, proms, and bridesmaids take 15 minutes.

We keep a very tight schedule in order to provide you with the best personalized experience, so please arrive on time. We cannot guarantee that you will be seen if you are late.

How much do alterations cost?

Alterations charges are based on:

  • The time involved to perform the alteration

  • The skill involved to perform the alteration correctly

  • Any additional lace, fabric, boning, or embellishments needed

Alterations are NOT based on how much you paid for your gown.  Most wedding dress alterations fall somewhere in the range of $600-1400.  This is a wide range that covers most scenarios, but every dress is different.

Mothers, proms, and bridesmaids are typically in the $100-500 range.

Your bra or any other undergarments you will be wearing to the wedding, including Spanx.  We have sew-in bra cups that are a great option for most gowns.  Large busts may still need the support of a bra.  If you aren’t sure, you can always bring a bra with you and we can help you decide what will work the best.

The exact shoes you will be wearing. No exceptions! We cannot be responsible for a perfect hem without the exact shoes.

What do I need to bring to my first fitting?

We do fittings on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays from March through October. In February, November, and December we do Tuesdays and Thursdays. We offer days or evenings, but please keep in mind that the evenings fill up first and are usually full several months in advance. Most wedding dresses require three fittings.
